Access • Opportunity • Belonging

Opening doors to places where everyone belongs.

Open Doors Project PNW celebrates accessible, inclusive, disability-supportive spaces across the Pacific Northwest and the United States while creating meaningful experiences for people with disabilities and the families who love them.

Our Mission

An accessibility connection for families, travelers, and communities.

We help people discover places that are not only accessible on paper, but welcoming in real life. Through visits, storytelling, partnerships, and inclusive events, Open Doors Project PNW shines a lantern on businesses, parks, venues, and communities making room for everyone.

Access

Practical details that help people plan with confidence.

Opportunity

Experiences, outings, and partnerships that expand what feels possible.

Belonging

Places where people are welcomed, seen, and included.

What We Do

The project has three areas that help make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities.

Each branch works together: discover inclusive places, create meaningful events, and build long-term community support.

Accessible Place Features

We visit and spotlight businesses, parks, venues, and travel stops that support disabled visitors and families.

Inclusive Experiences

With B.E.A.M. Events, we create joyful social opportunities where everyone gets to participate.

Community Partnerships

We connect with disability-owned companies, local sponsors, caregivers, educators, and advocates across the PNW.

Access Map

Find places that feel possible before you leave home.

Our future access guide will include notes families actually need: entrances, parking, sensory considerations, restrooms, seating, staff kindness, wheelchair navigation, and what made the place feel welcoming.
